About me - Christina Taylor

I believe that every learner is unique, with different learning needs, pace, styles and motivations. Finding what works for them and building a trusting relationship is key to supporting them to progress.

I provide specialist dyslexia tuition and maths tuition for primary age learners and am also able to offer full diagnostic assessments for dyslexia in the North Somerset and Bristol area.  

​

I have worked in education for over 20 years, initially, teaching English as a foreign language abroad, then as a Primary teacher for 14 years. More recently, I have worked as a tutor for an alternative provision provider.  In this role I have supported learners, age 10 – 18, one-to-one, who are not attending full-time education, in English, Maths and other areas of the curriculum.  I have experience with working with young people who have ADHD, PDA, ASC, situational mutism, and anxiety, as well as dyslexia.

  • SpLD/Dyslexia (Level 7( from Bath Spa University)

  • Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA)

  • Assessment Practising Certificate (APC)

  • Full Member of Patoss

  • PGCE Primary from Egde Hill University

  • BSc Hons Psychology from the University of Durham

  • Annually updated safeguarding training

  • Full DBS
